I think I've given you a wrong impression and built expectations about this scene way too high. The reason I was so enthusiastic about it was simply because it's very romantic without being graphic. The characters make it romantic, not the description of what's taking place.

Judith, we've had many interesting discussions here over the years about various aspects of love scenes. But I think one thing we can all agree on is that a great love scene needs to be romantic. In that respect, I'm sure the scene you're talking about will meet expectations.

Judith!

It makes me long to read it even more, I love romantic love scenes, the fact that it's not particulary *graphic* doesn't bother me one iota. I just can't wait to get my hand on the book.

lol

Judith,

It's all about the strong characters that only you create that makes any and every scene so memorable. If I don't feel the romance between the characters before/during/after the actual intimacy, I feel let down. I never have that problem with your novels.

Likewise, I think you could write a 4 page description of a hero washing out his dirty socks and every DN would find it enthralling. *wink*

Judith,
I recently moved, and all of my books are MIA...so I ended up reading a book by a different author. The love scene was not good. All of the right "descriptions" were there, but 0 romance...it's the romance we want, not the "descriptors"! Don't worry!

Hi Judith,
I just wanted to add my 2 cents. When it comes to love scenes I find that more romantic is much better than more physical. If that makes sense. If I can't feel the emotion or romance of the scene I just skip right over it.Kind of like ..ok they make love..next.But with your books it is so much more than an act. That is what a great love scene is about. If anything I am anticipating it more now.
Not to worry,
Bren

I am one who prefers romance over "spontaneous combustion" anyday. Thanks so much.

Yeah! Cindy - I am with you. I prefer suspense that graphic love scenes--emotional feelings not physical feelings. Maybe I am old fashioned.

Ms. Judith!
So far, you exceed my expectations--wine always get better with time. (Is this the right saying??)

Liz

I agree the romance is more important then the description of what is happening.
