On Sunday, March 9th, STWOM will make its debut on the New York Times Hardcover Bestseller list at #3...
This is an amazing achievement, particularly since STWOM was only on sale for five of the seven days included in this tally. (Put differently, the other books had a two-day head start on STWOM.)
To add to the thrill, this is the highest I've ever gone on the NY Times Hardcover list. (I've hit #1 on the NY Times paperback list, but the NYT paperback best seller list is slightly less ferociously difficult to penetrate.)
I know that some of you who won advance copies of STWOM--and who thoroughly and unabashedly loved everything about the book--may have been feeling a little insecure about your own enthusiasm and judgment. (I think you could even include me in that as publication date came closer. )
You may now feel completely validated, because this book is thrilling new readers and old readers, romance readers and general fiction readers--and to a degree none of my books has done before!
Oh--in case you're wondering why/how I know what the NYT best seller rankings are going to be now, a week and a half before they're published for March 9th, the answer is that publishers are notified a week and a half in advance of the New York Times best seller list rankings. That gives them time to print extra copies if necessary and get them shipped to book sellers.

This is just a well deserved recoignition to your work, and all the love, romance, laughter, hope and faith you have brought to all of us... No matter what coutry are we from, or what language do we speak, or how old we are.
You have done all this all by yourself!!! You are the reason for this BB, that's full of people from all over the world who love your work and you are the link that keep us together...
