I don't know Barbra Streisand, but I was one of her earliest fans. I love her voice. I know her agent. If PERFECT had ever been made into a movie, I'd have found some way to persuade her to appear in person in it. At least I'd have tried very hard.

I do know Johnnie Mathis, however. His best friend from childhood was my husband's best friend. When Michael died in an accident, Johnnie Mathis was giving a concert in St. Louis and staying with our friends. He cooked some of the food that was served after the funeral. He's truly a class act.

Thanks for answering my question! And thanks for letting us know what a great man Johnny Mathis is - for some reason good music (and books for that matter ) are even better when you know the artist is a good person.
